Iran’s national volleyball team experienced its 11th participation in the Asian Games and won the third consecutive championship and gold medal. Iran’s volleyball men had won two gold medals (2014 and 2018), three runner-up titles (1958, 2002 and 2010) and one third place (1966) in the previous 10 seasons.

With this championship, the national volleyball team equaled the gold medals of China and South Korea, but it still has less silver medals than these two teams.
