Samurais are the third victim of Iranian basketball; The national team advanced to the next stage

According to IRNA, Iran’s national basketball team faced Japan today (Sunday) in the third and final round of the group stage of the Asian Cup to witness an interesting battle between the two group winners for the top group title. The match ended with the Iranian national team winning 88-76.
Saeed Armaghani’s students entered this meeting after defeating Syria and Kazakhstan. The samurais also had the same results as Iran, but they could not advance anything in the match against the national team.
Iran entered the field with the same main line-up as in the previous 2 games, namely Sajjad Meshaikhi, Behnam Lakhari, Mohammad Jamshidi, Arslan Kazemi and Hamed Haddadi. The first half ended with Iran leading 48-34. In the first 10 minutes, there was close competition between the two teams, but in the second quarter, Iran was able to create a good distance with the opponent.
The national team had a better start in the second half and managed to gain a 20-12 advantage in the third 10 minutes, so that the 30-20 advantage of the East Asian team in the fourth quarter could not create a gap in Iran’s third victory.
In this way, Iranian basketball players managed to successfully come out of their third game in the third group and go to the next stage as the leaders. Iran’s next opponent will be one of the teams from Jordan or Chinese Taipei.
