According to the reporter of Mehr, after Haji Murad Gatsalov, the head coach of the Russian Azad national team, announced the presence of the Iranian team in the Yarigin Cup, a special plan was started to send the selected team of our country together with the technical staff of the national team.
This was despite the fact that the country’s championship freestyle wrestling tournament and the World Wrestling Federation ranking tournament will be held in Croatia at a short distance from each other, and the technical staff should plan carefully to use these two domestic and foreign fields as much as possible.
Now, due to the holding of the country’s championship freestyle wrestling competitions on January 28-30 in Tehran and the World Union ranking tournament in Croatia on February 12-16, a young and promising team is going to be prepared to be sent to the Yarigin Cup in Russia.
The main reason for this decision is the timing of the Yarigin Cup held in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, between the 6th and 9th of February, which, according to the World Union calendar, is between the country’s championship and the Croatian tournament.
As a result, the technical staff of the national freestyle wrestling team, in coordination with the wrestling federation, decided to definitely send a team from our country to these competitions, considering the necessity of better and technical use of the Yarigin Cup competitions and also maintaining interaction with the Russian wrestling authorities.
