According to him, based on the statistics recorded in the database of the federation, there are approximately one million and 100 thousand taekwondo practitioners in the country in this field.
The head of Taekwondo Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran regretted the absence of Taekwondo houses in Gorgan and Gonbadkavos, despite having many talents, and said: With the establishment of these Taekwondo houses, the Federation will provide the necessary cooperation to equip them.
Sae continued: In addition to taekwondo athletes, athletes of other disciplines can also use these spaces for sports, which is a good help for the growth and flourishing of more talents from Golestan province in the championship arena.
The head of Taekwondo team Gonbedkavus said in this meeting: This sport was established in the city since 1987 and has delivered many sports talents to the country.
Mohammadreza Mirnia added: Despite the great interest of its youth and teenagers in martial arts activities and the existence of about seven thousand martial artists, Gonbadkavus is deprived of having a dedicated training hall in this sector.
Mirnia asked the governor, the officials of the sports field and the municipality to have the necessary cooperation to set up a taekwondo house in Gonbadkavos.
Mayor Gonbadkavos also pointed to obtaining the license of the cultural and sports organization of the municipality and said: one of the priorities, besides the cultural activity, is the all-round support of the city’s athletes to shine more and more on the national and international stages.
Seyyed Ali Asghar Mousavi said: A plot of land for the construction of a sports hall was given to the Department of Sports and Youth, which was left half-finished for many years after the skeleton and roofing, and we are trying to complete and use this hall for taekwondo activities.
Governor Gonbadkavos said: This city is very rich and capable in terms of sports talents despite the minimal facilities, and if the infrastructure is developed more than in the past, the development of the capacities of this field will be provided on the national and international stages.
Mehdi Dehrouye emphasized: Based on Gonbadkavus’ track record in winning medals for its athletes in various national and international categories, if we want to reduce social harm in the region and strengthen unity more than in the past, one of the reliable areas is to pay more attention to the development of sports infrastructure and the cultivation of talents. .
He added: Athletes from many medal-winning sports teams do not have a place to practice in Gonbadkavos, which shows the poor infrastructure that can be improved with the cooperation of the municipality and other officials.
The city of Gonbadkavos with 411 thousand people has more than 9 thousand organized athletes who are active in 38 sports teams.
