Seven colorful judokas medals on the first night of the Baghdad Peace and Friendship Cup



According to IRNA, the International Tournament of the Peace and Friendship Cup and the Iraqi Joint Army were held in Baghdad on Wednesday, May 11, 1401, and in the first night individual competitions, our national judo team won one gold, two silver and four bronze medals. .

Team competitions will be held today (Thursday), and after the end of the Baghdad tournament, the countries participating in these competitions will be in a joint camp from 23 to 30 May.

Within the framework of the first day of competitions, Adnan Rijal, Minister of Sports and Youth, together with Arash Mirasmaili, President of our Judo Federation, attended the competition hall.

The national judo teams of Iran, Iraq, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey, Jordan, Kuwait, Syria and Libya are participating in these competitions.

Mohsen Zakaria, Ali Information and Mohammad Ali Mohammadi are also present as coaches alongside the national team.

The names of the medalists are as follows:

Weight minus 66 kg: Hamidreza Papi and Hassan Bakhshi bronze medal

Weight minus 73 kg: Mohammad Reza Sedighi silver medal

Weight minus 81 kg: Mehdi Fathipoor Silver medal

Weight minus 90 kg: Qasem Baghchaghi Gold Medal

Weight plus one hundred kg: Hamidreza Malekzadeh and Saeed Gorji bronze medal
