In part of the message of the Spanish club, it was stated: “Futsal Palma Mallorca is upset with the Iranian Federation because Moslem Oladaghbad returned injured after playing for the national team; Despite the fact that due to the problems he had, the club had advised not to invite this player and to do alternative treatment programs to avoid injuries.
A month after that incident, Vahid Shamsaei, the head coach of Iran’s national futsal team, defends his decision to invite Olad-e-Qabad to the tournament in Thailand.
In this regard, Shamsaei told Mehr reporter: Muslim came to the national team camp injured from the beginning. He was injured in Palma, but I spoke with him and Tayyibi before the Thailand tournament. Moslem even played for Palma in the last game before the Thailand tournament. When a player plays for his team, it means that his condition is good. He himself said that he got better.
He added: However, in the second match of the Thailand tournament (against Egypt), Moslem was injured and missed the semi-final match. Before the match against Japan in the final, I told him that the most important thing is your health and I don’t want you to play for the national team, but he himself cooperated well with the team doctors and played three or four minutes in the final.
The head coach of the national futsal team said regarding the fact that the Palma club had sent an official letter to the football federation not to invite Olad-e-Ghobad: If Moslem was injured, why did he play for Palma the night before FIFA began? Why did they risk this player’s health? FIFA is the right of national teams and clubs cannot refuse to invite national players.
In the end, Shamsai said: Muslim is still injured and we did not invite him to meet Uzbekistan. Mehdi Karimi, Moslem’s roommate in Thailand, has witnessed that I told him that his health is more important to us and that he does not want to play against Japan.
