Spain: Our military will never participate in the war in Ukraine

According to the report of Fars International News Agency, “Margarita Robles”, the Minister of Defense of Spain, emphasized that the forces of this country will never participate in the war in Ukraine.

In an interview with “One Guardia” magazine, he said: “No force from the NATO countries, Spain being one of them, will participate in the war in Ukraine, and the Spanish military will act only if an attack is made against a NATO country.” .

Earlier, the Minister of Defense of Spain announced that his country will transfer six “Leopard-2” tanks to Ukraine along with the arms assistance of Western allies and is ready to increase their number if necessary. According to him, these tanks are currently under repair.

According to reports, Spain will also give Ukraine 24 M113 armored personnel carriers.

Following the start of Russia’s conflict with Ukraine last February, while condemning Moscow and intensifying economic pressures, Western countries have put all-round political, financial, and arms support for Kiev on the agenda.

Despite the support of the Westerners, Russia has managed to take over at least 20% of the territory of Ukraine.

Russia has emphasized many times before that Western countries have unofficially entered the war by supplying weapons to Ukraine. “The line between direct and indirect interference is gradually disappearing,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said last week.
