Statement of Esteghlal Club against Tractor: Accept defeat instead of projecting it

According to Fars news agency and quoted by Esteghlal Club, today’s match between Esteghlal and Tractor teams in the round of 16 of the Iranian Football Cup ended with a 2-1 victory for the Blues of the capital. After this meeting, the CEO of Tractor Club (who is also responsible for the football federation and this point is questionable!), the head coach, members of the technical staff and some Tractor players started making false and illogical claims about the refereeing of this match. They claimed that refereeing mistakes were effective in the final result, however, the opinions of well-known and prominent refereeing experts contradict these claims. Among others, we can mention the statements of experts such as Mr. Haider Soleimani, Reza Kermanshahi, Naveed Mozafari and Ibrahim Mirzabigi, who clearly stated in their speeches that both penalties of Esteghlal football team were correct and the penalty that was scored was also repeated.

In addition, the correctness of the referee’s decisions is clearly evident in the published photos and images. It is better for the officials of the tractor club to accept the defeat instead of projecting and relating a football match to external factors and unprofessional and unrealistic mentalities and making a fuss.

It is noted that the Esteghlal football team has experienced a lot of injuries from refereeing mistakes during this season and won this match with merit and without benefiting from refereeing mistakes, and it is not a professional thing for the losing team to marginalize the match.
