Undoubtedly, Persepolis benefited the most from the suspension of Sepahan and Esteghlal. Persepolis ended this week with a 3-0 defeat of Naft Masjid Suleiman.
In today’s games, Sepahan didn’t get a better result than a 1-1 draw against Aluminum in Arak and continued to lead with 43 points, but the gap with Persepolis reached one point. Aluminum got 30 points with a home draw in today’s game and ranked seventh in the table.
In the other game today in Qaimshahr, Esteghlal drew 1-1 against Nasaji and stopped after six consecutive wins in the league and the knockout cup. Sapinto’s students are currently in third place with 40 points in the Premier League standings, three points behind Sepahan and two points behind Persepolis. Nasaji also got 23 points after a home draw against Tehrani Blue Poshan and was ranked 11th in the table.
