According to IRNA, the opening of the 26th World Military Taekwondo Championship this morning at the 12,000-seat Azadi Hall with the presence of Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Amir Brigadier Mohammad Hassan Bagheri, Deputy Director of Training and Education of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Guardsman Noman Gholami, commander of Imam Hossein Officer Training and Guards University and head of Taekwondo Board of Armed Forces, Amir Brigadier General Jamshid Fuladi, Head of Sports and Physical Fitness Department of General Staff of Armed Forces and representatives of Sizm.
The head of Sizam Taekwondo Committee was one of the speakers of this ceremony. While expressing his satisfaction with his presence in Iran, he said: I am very happy to be present at this event as the head of Sesium Taekwondo Committee. I am very proud of Iranians and I respect them very much.
Referring to the long delay of the competitions, he said: “Due to the spread of Covid-19, the holding of Sizem competitions was delayed for a long time, and I am happy that this round of competitions will be held.” The head of Taekwondo Committee of Sizm also pointed to the participants in this ceremony and continued: this competition will be hosted by Iran with the participation of 300 athletes from 12 countries. Sizm is an opportunity to evaluate skills and strengthen friendships among soldiers.
He then pointed to the importance of correct judgments in these competitions and said: Correct judgments will lead to correct competitions. I wish success to all the players and referees in the tournament. In the continuation of this ceremony, the oath of judges and athletes was read. In this ceremony, Sardar Ali Fadavi, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC, pointed out and emphasized the high human values in the land of Iran. The 26th World Taekwondo Championship (SEZM) officially started today and will continue until December 7th.
