One of the important issues in my mind is that the new administrative building of the Football Federation should be opened soon.
He added: “When the elections were over, we got involved in the World Cup competitions and most of our time was spent discussing the support of the national team.” We tried to make sure that the best thing happens in Qatar and that the national team participates in the World Cup in the best condition. I have had the experience of participating in the World Cup three times and each time I have gained a different experience. In any case, the Iranian national team had a chance to advance to the next round until the last minute, and the Federation is not happy that we could not advance to the next round.
The president of the football federation noted: The discussion of the building of the football federation, which is one of our first priorities, must be followed seriously and come to a conclusion. The task of VAR was determined and the implementation of this project was started. If we don’t implement VAR, all our referees will be removed. In addition, the guidelines for this issue have been announced by the Asian Football Confederation that if we do not have VAR, we will not have any specific referees in the Asian competitions and the upcoming competitions held in Asia, and this is not something that is worthy of us. So we have to start working as soon as possible and implement this plan.
Stating that infrastructure and construction is one of our most important concerns, Mehdi Taj continued: The national team camp ground was delivered to the federation during the time of Mr. Safai Farahani and with his follow-up, and was completed during the time of Mr. Dadkan and Kafashian and then Bande. Its development is an important goal of this federation, because football is not static, and a vast country like Iran needs a comprehensive set with special and advanced infrastructures and facilities. We must quickly start implementing measures to reach an ideal situation in terms of infrastructure and construction and to expand this camp. Completion of Kausar building (special for women) should be done as soon as possible. The progress of this important project has been estimated at 80% and we should equip this building as soon as possible by solving the remaining issues so that the women’s national teams can use it in the best possible way.
In the end, Taj said: The main and next priority is to design and build the new administrative building of the federation, and we must provide the measures for this matter as soon as possible.
