Tajikistan Presidential Cup; Bronze medal on the chest of the Iranian judoka



According to IRNA, the second day of the Judo Tournament of the Presidential Cup of Tajikistan started today (Tuesday, September 29) in the city of “Khojand” where Qasim Baghchaqi, the representative of our country’s national judo team weighing -90 kg, won the medal after defeating the representative of the host country. Bronze was achieved.

In the first fight, he faced his Tajik opponent “Mardov Akmal” and succeeded in knocking him out. In the second round, the representative of Tajikistan refused to fight against Baghchaghi, and the representative of our country made it to the next round. In the third fight, Baghchaqi faced the representative of Kazakhstan and with a warning, he gave the match to his Kazakh opponent and entered the table of chances again.

Baghchaghi first faced the representative of Uzbekistan in the rematch table and defeated this judoka. In the continuation of the competition, Baghchaghi won the bronze medal by defeating the representative of Tajikistan.

Arash Mirasmaili, the head of the Judo Federation, watched this fight closely by attending the competition hall.

Hossein Qomi is present as a coach next to the national team. Babak Mohajeri, the head of the referees committee, is also present in this mission with the national team.

Yesterday, Mehdi Fathipour representing our country in the weight of -81 kg won a silver medal, and Hamidreza Papi, representing the weight of -66 kg, failed to win a medal.
