Taleghani: How many times will we get “Wilmots” money from “Trump”!

According to Mehr reporter, it was not long ago that the Supreme Sports Court of Iran sentenced the Iranian Football Federation to pay 3 million and 325 thousand euros to Marc Wilmots, the former Belgian coach of our country’s national team.

Mehdi Taj, the former president and other members of the board of the football federation, who this case was imposed on Iranian football during their administration, announced that due to the sanctions imposed by Donald Trump’s administration in the United States, it is possible to pay for Wilmots’ contract from “Iran’s claim center” in They did not have FIFA.

According to this claim, which has some ambiguities, Iran filed a complaint against Wilmots’ contract with FIFA and finally condemned the federation.

After the announcement of Wilmots’ decision, although Taj again provided explanations about this case, due to the increase of all-round pressure on the former federation, the members of the board took a strange action and sued Donald Trump and the American government in the Tehran court.

Abdulkazem Taleghani, one of the former members of the Football Federation’s Board of Directors, confirmed the complaint against Trump in the Tehran Court of Justice and told Mehr reporter: “We have done exactly the same thing and we will follow up on this issue until the end.”

The former member of the Football Federation’s Board of Directors emphasized: The Supreme Sports Court has clearly stated in the details of its decision that the Iranian Football Federation has no fault in this case and the late payment of Wilmots’ money. We have filed a complaint against Trump for the material and moral damages that have been inflicted on the Islamic Republic. Taleghani added: “We have sued the US government for their unwise decisions in order to receive several times the amount of money related to Mark Wilmots’ contract as damages.”
