I am Sina Yazdanian, born in 1363, graduated in the field of software and one of the founders of Camp Team. I have been working in my field of study since 1982, at the end of 1989, together with a friend, we decided to start a personal business. Setting up during which we implemented software projects that were also successful. The 7-person team of the camp team
Currently, the team consists of 5 women and 2 men, and perhaps because the number of women in the team is large, the atmosphere created is a little different from the rest of the startups, and of course we got good feedback from this different composition. The camp team is a combination of technical and non-technical forces. Technical guys are working in frontend, backend and mobile, and a team is active in non-technical areas like sales and marketing. The foundation of the camp team is based on the training of trainees; According to the experiences we had in training trainees and turning them into professionals in the previous business, in the camp team, we started all team members both in the sales and technical fields by recruiting talented trainees, who are currently working as a workforce. They are working all the time.
investment
We had saved an amount from the business we were operating in before the camp team and had initial capital, and we did not attract investment until today; Because the work process will be more flexible under these conditions. We are still not in a hurry to attract investors, preferably right now our focus will be on product improvement and also in the customer field, which will make it easier to attract investors.
Samsung Technology Center
At the end of 1995, we settled in the Tivan Entrepreneurship Club for a while, and at the same time, we found out that the Samsung Center had been set up. Then we applied to them and in February 1996 we were interviewed and settled in the center. One of the characteristics of the Samsung Technology Center is the high quality of the teams located there, as well as the high quality of the executive team of Samsung, who have strict control over the development of the teams.
Challenge
In every startup, there are various uncertainties such as customer uncertainty, solution, problem, etc. I think that in most startups there is also the challenge of uncertainty; For example, that different departments redefine their business model, just as we redefine the problem and need we identified three times. Another challenge is gathering a committed team interested in learning expertise; Because an expert can be recruited, but recruiting a team that is on the same path as the founders’ primary values and seeks values other than just financial, takes time, and the process of forming the team took us a lot of time. Entering the market is one of the biggest challenges for B2B startups; Because most of their clients are mature and mature businesses and do not easily trust a young team. The way to deal with this is to focus on increasing the value of the service.
Attracting investors and… in my opinion, it is challenging after all this.
income generation
We started to generate income from the beginning of this year, which of course is not enough to cover the costs of the server and human resources. Our prediction is that we will reach the break-even point in 3 years, and the potential we see in the market, especially the market outside of Iran, makes us very hopeful for the future in this field.
Team Camp can be used in the form of three basic, medium and advanced packages with prices of 50, 100 and 500 thousand Tomans, and each level offers different facilities and a series of restrictions have been defined in the number of users and projects. Unlike our competitors, we do not offer free services, because we are targeting a segment of the market where customers have left the phase of small startup teams and know that they have to pay to meet their needs, and due to the extent of their project and team, they are able to pay. .
Market
Our goal is to enter a part of the project management market that does not exist in the work area of active collections at the moment, and the part we have chosen is in the telecom field. Our guess is to get between 20 and 25 percent of this market by the end of this year; Moreover, we currently have good customers in this field, such as: Peshgaman Holding, Fekor Company, etc., which are among the partners of the main operators of the country.
Product development
Yes, Camp Team has a 6-month plan to complete the services that cover these layers because it targets different layers of the organization in addition to project management and team management.
Marketing
Our main focus in marketing and introducing the camp team to the market is on creating value; In this regard, we have presented podcasts and webinars in the field of project management, in which we focused on introducing the value of using these tools, including our own tools.
Startup ecosystem
In my opinion, the biggest issue in Startup formation not having Creativity And it is risk-taking and that startups do not try new markets and mostly operate in the field of services, and the field of providing services is often limited to Tehran. Investors also examine issues from their own aspects and are not very willing to deal with the risk-taking aspect of startups.
