According to IRNA, the Iranian national basketball team, which had gone to Japan to hold preparatory games, arrived in Tokyo on Thursday morning.

The basketball players of our country were welcomed by the representatives of the Iranian embassy in Japan upon their arrival in Tokyo.

Iran’s national basketball team has gone to Tokyo to hold two friendly matches with Japan and in preparation for the World Cup.

Mohammad Jamshidi, Behnam Bakhchali, Navid Rezaifar, Sajjad Aghajanpour, Sina Vahedi, Amirhossein Yazerlo, Arash Sabeti, Jalal Aghamiri, Hassan Ali Akbari, Peter Grigoryan, Behshad Arabzadeh, Mohammad Rahimi, Salar Manji, Mohammad Hossein Ahmadi, Maitham Abedi, Morteza. Taheri, Mohammad Hossein Jafari and Sorna Alizadeh are 19 players invited to the national basketball team camp.

Amir Hossein Vahidpour (head coach), Saeed Armaghani (head coach) and Mohammad Kasaipour, Mehran Atashi and Mohammad Reza Eslami (coaches) are members of the technical staff who accompany the national basketball team in this camp.

Iran’s national basketball team lost in a crucial match against Jordan in the Asian Cup and withdrew from the competition, and now it has a relatively difficult path ahead of it to participate in the World Cup.
