
According to IRNA, the Asian Boxing Championship with the participation of 320 boxers (211 men and 109 women) will start from noon tomorrow (Tuesday) in the city of Amman, the capital of Jordan, and will continue until November 21.
The drawing ceremony and the technical meeting of the coaches of the teams participating in the tournament were held today at noon in the presence of the head coach Alireza Staki and Homayoun Amiri, the coach of our country’s national boxing team, at Regency Palace Hotel, and the representatives of Iran got to know their opponents.
Mustafa Rigi will face “Titisan Panmut” from Thailand in the first round in the 51 kg weight category, and if he wins, he will fight with “Domatov Hasanboy” from Uzbekistan.
Mehdi Khosravi, the 54 kg boxer of our country, will first fight with “Rangsi Sao” from Cambodia, and if he wins in this fight, he will meet with one of the representatives of Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
In the 57 kg weight, Sajjad Mohammadpour will face “Tsutomi Rito” from Japan in the first fight, and if he wins, he will face one of the representatives of Iraq, Thailand and Uzbekistan.
Mohammad Kamali is an Iranian boxer weighing 60 kg, who after a round of rest, will fight the winner of the match between Malaysia and Mongolia in the first round.
In the 63.5 kg competition, Ashkan Rezaei will face “Wangdi Dorji” from Bhutan in the first stage, and if he wins, he will fight with one of the boxers from Chinese Taipei, Afghanistan or Kyrgyzstan.
Ali Habibinejad will first meet “Bonjong Sinsiri” from Thailand in the weight of 67 kg, and if he wins, he will have to face “Karar Khadim Al-Aziraj” from Iraq.
