According to Tasnim news agency, Real Madrid not only holds the title of the most proud club football team in the world, but also wants to be recognized as the owner of the most beautiful and modern football stadium in the world.
This was the goal that the president of the club, Florentino Press, and other members of the club’s board of directors drew for themselves in the middle of the last decade, and its implementation started in 2019.
According to Marca, the Santiago Bernabéu stadium renovation project will cost between 800 and 900 million euros, although this cost will return to the Galaxy’s coffers much sooner than many think. In fact, according to the 25-year contract that the Real Madrid club signed with the American company “Legends” (a company in the field of sports and non-sports events), the Galaxy will earn 400 million euros annually from renting out their home for various events. .
Although the main use of this stadium is to hold football matches, its new design is such that it allows hosting many other sports such as basketball, and its environment can also be used to hold various exhibitions because the officials of the other stadium are afraid of being damaged. Grass will have no worries. Thanks to the massive digging done under the playing field and the rails built around the field, the stadium grass is equipped with mechanized collection technology that places it in several stages and layer by layer in the space created under the stadium. This capability will allow the Bernabéu to host different events 300 days a year and not be limited to selling tickets to football fans during the season or holding concerts during football holidays. Roofing of the stadium with a movable roof is another important feature that provides the holding of various events in different seasons of the year without worrying about rains or sunlight.
The design of the new Santiago Bernabeu, whose construction operations are scheduled to be completed in early 2023, will add other capabilities to this stadium, increasing its capacity to 100,000 people is just one of them. With the changes that have been made in the facade of the stadium, corridors will be created in the space behind the platforms, where some of the biggest restaurants in Spain have already entered into competition with each other to take possession of its best stalls.
