
According to IRNA, the 11th Asian Junior Taekwondo Championship, which started on Friday the 4th of September with the participation of 285 taekwondo players from 28 countries hosted by Vietnam in the city of Ho Chi Minh City, this Saturday evening, the 5th of September, with the victory of our country’s team in each 2 groups of boys and girls have finished.
The worthy future builders of our country won 11 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.
The Iranian national team participated in this tournament with 18 taekwondo players, including Abolfazl Zandi, Metin Rezaei, Reza Kalhor, Abolfazl Abbasi, Amir Hossein Maleki, Sogand Shiri, Mobina Nematzadeh, Poone Jafar Salehi, Farishte Fathi, Sagar Moradi and Elham Haghighi. They won gold medals, Amirreza Ghorbani and Arash Vaziri Dost won 2 silver medals, Yasin Walizadeh and Mohammad Amin Karsaz won 2 bronze medals for the Iranian team.
In the boys group, Iran stood on top of Asia by winning 5 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals. In the girls’ group, Iranian girls with 6 gold medals are champions; The teams of China and South Korea were second and third.
Also, with the announcement of the organizers of the tournament, Razia Aghajanpour, the head coach of the girls’ group, and Vahid Abdullahi, the head coach of the boys’ group of the national youth team, won the title of the best coach.
Amirhossein Maleki, the representative of Iran, who won the valuable gold medal in this event, was also chosen as the most technical player.
The award for the best fight in 2 groups of girls and boys went to “Tan Sebastian” from Malaysia and “Shahad Mohammad Saad” from Iraq. It should be noted that Mohammad Reza Yari, the head coach of the Iraqi national team, was present in Vietnam together with the national team of this country.
The leadership of the national youth team in the boys group is under the responsibility of Vahid Abdullahi; Ebrahim Eftekhari and Yousafali Hajipour are his assistants. In the women’s group, Razia Aghajanpour is the head coach, Atena Delir and Fatemeh Nemati are her assistants. Gholamhasan Zulqadri is the supervisor and Jafar Ranjbarpour is the manager of the team.
