According to IRNA, the Asian Boxing Championship will be held from November 10 to 21, hosted by Jordan and in Amman.

The composition of Iran’s national boxing team for a strong presence in this competition period was determined and announced by the technical staff after passing through the filters of the country’s championships and an in-camp selection.

The names of the dispatchers are as follows:

Weight 51 kg: Mustafa Rigi

Weight 54 kg: Mehdi Khosravi

Weight 57 kg: Sajjad Mohammadpour

60 kg weight: Mohammad Kamali

Weight 63 kg: Ashkan Rezaei

Weight 67 kg: Ali Habibinejad

Weight 71 kg: Moslem Maqsoodi

Weight 75 kg: Shahin Mousavi

80 kg weight: Meysham Qashlaghi

Weight 86 kg: Pouria Amiri

Weight 92 kg: Storm Sharifi

Weight plus 92 kg: Iman Ramadanpour

Shahbakhsh faced Mohammad Kamali twice in the 60 kg weight class and it seems that he is far from regular preparation and the technical staff decided not to send him to Jordan in order to reach better conditions by following his training for the next events.

The history-making boxer of Iran was not present in the national team’s training for several months due to participating in semi-professional competitions.

Alireza Staki (head coach), Gholamreza Karimi, Homayoun Amiri, Jassam Delavari, Shahram Fateh and Daniyal Timaji (coaches) will be present with the national team.

The national boxing team of our country will leave for Jordan on the 8th of November. The technical meeting, lottery and opening ceremony will be held on the 9th of November.

The preliminary stage competitions will be held on November 10-13 and the quarter-finals will be held on November 14-16. The 17th of Aban was considered for the athletes to rest, and after that, the semi-final stage competitions will be held on the 18th and 19th of Aban, and the women’s and men’s finals will be followed on the 20th and 21st of Aban, respectively.
