The deployment of US 3D radars in Romania for air assistance to Ukraine

According to the report of Fars International News Agency, the Romanian Embassy in the United States announced on Tuesday that the Pentagon and Spain are going to deploy advanced and mobile radars to help Ukraine in intercepting air targets on the country’s borders.

According to the websiteRomania InsiderAmerica and Spain will place the “TPC-80” radar next to the country’s border with Ukraine to detect, track and identify aerial targets. This radar will be used to detect air targets in eastern Ukraine and the central and western Black Sea area.

The Romanian Embassy in the United States has announced that this radar will improve integrated defense by increasing the detection range of air targets that fly at low, medium and high altitudes.

This 3D radar can be used to guide fighters and coordinate missile defense fires. Earlier this summer, during the NATO summit in Madrid, Spain, US President Joe Biden said that he would strengthen the US military presence in Europe.

This radar is the new generation of US Marines’ air defense and surveillance radar. The electronic scanning array radar system is manufactured by Northrop Grumman. This radar is special for detecting targets in short and medium range.

Meanwhile, an English think tank wrote in an article that Ukraine is in danger of running out of air defense weapons and needs urgent help from the West to defend itself.

The “Russian” think tank (Royal British think tank) wrote that Russia has been bombing Ukraine in recent weeks with a wave of drone attacks and destroying the country’s energy infrastructure. Analysts of this think tank believe that if the ammunition of surface-to-air systems is not supplied to Ukraine, the Russian aerospace forces will regain the ability to pose a great threat.

According to this report, Ukraine continues to request more air defense weapons to counter Russian missile and drone attacks. According to analysts of this think tank, Ukraine needs urgent air defense assistance.

According to analysts, Russia has deployed hundreds of armed drones to target Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, cutting off water and electricity to hundreds of thousands of people.
