The end of Asian freestyle taekwondo competitions with the victory of Iranian women



According to IRNA; The third round of the Asian International Free Taekwondo Championships in the women’s group started yesterday (Sunday) with the participation of 138 taekwondo fighters from 6 countries: Jordan, Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Russia and India at the Parsian Esteghlal Hotel in Tehran and ended today.

The competitions were followed in the weights of -46, -49, -53, -57, -62, -67, -73 and +73 kg.

At the end of this period of competitions, the selected taekwondo team of our country in the women’s group won seven gold, one silver and 931 points on the championship platform. Russia finished runner-up with one gold, one silver and 187 points, while India finished third with two bronze medals and 57 points.

The teams of Jordan (one bronze medal and 26 points), Afghanistan (no medal and five points), Pakistan (no medal and two points) and Iraq (no medal and two points) were ranked fourth to seventh, respectively.
