The first gold medal of the Iranian convoy was won



According to IRNA, the Deaf Sports Federation, on Tuesday night, following the Deaflympics in Brazil, the Iranian judoka won the gold medal by defeating his powerful Korean rival.

In the first round, Amir Mohammadi Daftari faced a break draw and in the second round, he was able to defeat the Belgian judoka. He also defeated his Japanese opponent in the semifinals and reached the final, and in the final competition, he defeated the representative of South Korea and won gold.

A few minutes ago, Ali Salahshour, a judoka in Iran weighing less than 66 kg, won a silver medal.

Tomorrow, our country’s judokas will compete against their opponents in three other weights.

The 24th Olympic Games for the Deaf, with the participation of more than 4,000 athletes from 80 countries, will begin on May 4, and will end on May 15 after competing in 20 sports and introducing the best.

The Iranian sports caravan participated in these competitions with the participation of 16 female and 59 male athletes, and these athletes will compete against their opponents in 8 sports.
