According to Fars News Agency, the competitions of the 59 kg category of the Women’s World Junior Championship ended with the presence of two representatives of our country, which was accompanied by the first medal of the expedition convoy.

In these competitions, Fatemeh Keshavarz and Seyedeh Ghazaleh Hosseini from our country competed against their opponents, and in the end, Hosseini succeeded in winning the first medal of the caravan.

Seyedeh Ghazaleh Hosseini successfully recorded the weights of 65, 71 and 74 kg in one stroke. In the first attempt, he lifted 82 kg. He failed to try for 91 kg but in the last move, he recorded 94 kg to win the bronze medal. The representatives of Thailand and Colombia were higher than him, setting a record of 100 kg. This is the first medal of our country’s expedition caravan.

Fatemeh, another farmer in our country, successfully lifted 65, 72 and 76 kg in one go. In two strokes, he initially lifted 86 kg, but in two attempts to record 93 kg, he had two unsuccessful attempts. He could also be a medalist for our country’s convoy that failed to achieve this goal.

In the end, the representatives of Colombia and Thailand took the podium. Seyedeh Ghazaleh Hosseini was the fourth overall.
