According to Mehr News Agency and quoted by “Shoot” news website, the managers of Al-Ittihad club in Saudi Arabia have decided to fire their head coach Nuno Santo following the poor results of this team in recent competitions. But the official announcement of this news has been postponed until the value of the contract’s release clause is determined and a replacement head coach is found.
“Al-Ittihad” lost the game to “Al-Shabaab” with one goal in their last meeting in the Saudi League at “King Fahd” Stadium. With six wins, three draws and three defeats, this team ranks sixth in the Saudi league standings with 21 points.
Ittihad, Sepahan’s rival, is the leader in the Asian Champions League with 9 points. The last three points of this team were awarded to this team following the decision of the Asian Football Confederation regarding the canceled game with Sepahan at Naqsh Jahan Stadium.
