In an interview with Mehr reporter, Jahangir Seyed Abbasi, the head coach of Urmia municipality’s volleyball team, said about the team’s results in the Premier League: Our team was closed at the last minute and our goal was to participate in the Premier League with young and local players. However, along with young players, we also recruited some experienced players. Arman Salehi is one of the players in our team, but unfortunately we don’t have him at the moment.
He said: Arman is a soldier and Pas Club has allowed him to play for another team, but some regulations have prevented it. We are trying to resolve this issue. I think this matter will be resolved in a few days and we will be able to have this player. The goal of our team was to be among eight teams.
The head coach of Urmia municipality’s volleyball team said about the loss in two games: In the first game against Geti Pasand, our team had a bad situation. Before the game, the team doctor announced that Fayazi, the team player, is sick and cannot play and must return to Tehran for treatment. After that, it was announced that Arman Salehi cannot play for our team. These problems made us lose the first game.
Seyyed Abbasi emphasized: Unfortunately, our team had less preparation games than other teams. We only had two games while other teams had much more preparation games. Our second game was against Foulad Sirjan. A team that is very productive and cannot be compared with our team. Although our team lost in this game, the performance of the players was very good. This meeting was the longest rally in the history of the league, so that after the game, the players of both teams could not walk due to exhaustion.
The head coach of Urmia municipality said about the sidelines of this game and the refereeing of the league: I think the refereeing was good in both matches. Of course, there was a lot of pressure on the players in the match with Foulad Sirjan, and that’s why Mohammad Mousavi protested to the referee in the minutes of the game. In my opinion, the performance of the referee was acceptable in both games.
