The largest ostrich breeding farm in Hormozgan was set up in Hajiabad
Majid Bolandnazar on Monday on the sidelines of the launch of this ostrich breeding farm added: This farm has been set up by paying facilities of seven billion rials to the private sector with an area of five thousand square meters and has created stable jobs for 6 people.
He stated: 400 ostrich chickens are being raised in this farm, and the chickens and meat produced in this farm, in addition to meeting the needs of Hormozgan, will also be sent to neighboring provinces such as Kerman and Fars.
The head of Omid Hormozgan Entrepreneurship Fund stated: Omid Entrepreneurship Fund in the field of ostrich breeding in the province, after the necessary consultation, provides the required facilities to the applicants and cooperates with them until the marketing and sales stage.
Also, in September of this year, the construction of an ostrich breeding complex in the village of Shahdadi in Hajiabad city began with the efforts of the construction mobilization, which will directly and indirectly create employment for 120 people by completing this complex. This complex with a credit of more than 150 billion rials with a capacity of one thousand ostriches in an area of 70,000 square meters is under construction.
Hajiabad city is located 165 km north of Bandar Abbas, the capital of Hormozgan province.
In Hormozgan province, there are three ostrich breeding units with an annual production of 20 tons of meat.
Ostriches are herbivorous birds whose diets are similar to those of ruminants, and alfalfa and corn make up a high percentage of the ostrich’s diet, which has high digestibility due to its long intestines and high fiber content.
Ostrich meat is one of the red meats and due to less cholesterol, fat and sodium than other red meats for people with high blood pressure and diabetes and also with iron and protein for growing children, pregnant mothers and people suffering from anemia. They win, it’s convenient.
