The magic of Mbappé and a steamless Lewandowski; France ascended/ the horrible tragedy of empty seats!

According to Tasnim news agency, in the first match of the second day of the round of 16 of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, starting at 18:30 tonight (Sunday – Tehran time), the French and Polish teams met at Al-Thamamah Stadium, which ended with a 3-0 lead. He was accompanied by Didier Deshan’s students.

Olivier Giroud opened the goal for Wojciech Szczesny in the 44th minute on a deep pass from Kylian Mbappe. With this goal, he increased the number of goals scored for the French national team to 52 and became the best scorer in the history of this team. Before this meeting, he shared this title with Thierry Henry. The second goal of the Roosters was scored in the 74th minute on a beautiful shot by Mbappe. Also, this player scored his second goal and France’s third in the 90+1 minute and in the same situation as the previous goal into the Polish goal.

In the meantime, Robert Lewandowski had a penalty opportunity in the 90+9 minute, whose shot was skillfully saved by Hugo Uris to complete the bad game of the Polish striker.

In the same framework, from 22:30 tonight Tehran time, England and Senegal teams will line up against each other at El Beit Stadium, so that the winner of this game will be France’s opponent in the quarter final stage.

One of the important and disgusting issues of this game was the large number of empty seats, which is considered a big and shameful question mark for the World Cup at such a level. The seats that were empty from the beginning of the game became even emptier until the end of the first half. The question is; If a South American or even European country was the host of the 22nd Cup, would there still be such widespread indifference and lack of reception? The more important question is; Did Qatar deserve to host the World Cup? The answer of many football fans to this question is a big “no”.
