The head of the wrestling federation stated: Since the wrestling houses were built, wrestling clubs were closed at the neighborhood level, and wrestling was affected by this issue, which caused the number of wrestlers to decrease. He added: In 2018, when I took over the wrestling federation, the number of insured wrestlers, including veterans who had wrestling cards, was only 30,000 people, and with the efforts that have been made, today we have increased this population to 250,000 people. Of course, this population is also small and should increase. For this reason, in all the provincial trips, I ask different organizations, from the Corps to other departments, to provide us with a hall and a club so that the clubs will increase and this will increase the number of wrestling coaches.

The current situation of Tehran wrestling in the national teams is not acceptable and cannot be compared to the 60s and 70s, and a transformation must take place.
The head of the wrestling federation stated that wrestling is moving from big cities to small towns and villages and emphasized that Tehran, with a population of 9 million, has a higher capacity and potential to discover talent and nurture wrestlers than a smaller city. In the end, he added: With the shops that will be built next to this hall, the Tehran board will no longer need the budget from other places and will be able to be self-sufficient with the income it can get from these shops.
