The Minister of Sports is angry with the Committee for the Elimination of Independence and Persepolis from Asia / Representatives on behalf of Iran, to the AFC

According to the sports correspondent of Fars News Agency, 6 days have passed since the official announcement of the elimination of Esteghlal and Persepolis from the Asian Champions League matches, but we are still witnessing different aspects of why this issue is being discussed by the officials.
Dariush Mostafavi and Kazem Oliaei’s contradictory statements about the three-month opportunity to complete the documents of the two clubs, speeches that led to insults between the two men on TV programs and their verbal clashes with the resigned MP and head of Persepolis, as well as the silence of Football Federation officials in this regard. Iran has added two prominent representatives to the Asian Champions League.
In the meantime, the preliminary and appeals committee for professional licensing has repeatedly made various statements about the elimination or survival of the two teams in the Asian Champions League. Kazem Oliaei told the network on November 30: In the initial committee, 3 clubs could not get a professional license, but in the appeal committee, they made commitments to participate in competitions to solve their problems. This year, the situation is such that the licensing committee can revoke this license at any time. These clubs promised to solve the problems as soon as possible. If this does not happen, the committee can take over from the clubs.
Dariush Mostafavi also told reporters on 28 Azar:Fortunately, most of the problems of Persepolis and Esteghlal have been solved and very small issues remain. In this regard, Mr. Azizi Khadem helped a lot, and today we came to the conclusion that we can proceed with solidarity.
Saeed Abbasi, chairman and member of the Professional Licensing Committee, also told reporters on the third of January, before the start of the meeting of the Professional Licensing Appeals Committee: There is a 5-day opportunity to solve problems for Esteghlal, Persepolis and Gol Gohar teams. The issues and problems of the past have been piled up, and it is due to the luck of these two CEOs (Ajurlu and Sadri) that this situation has arisen. We performed and now everything is in their hands.
He claimed in an interview with one of the media a few days ago: They gave us 13 checklists and we promised to be honest and represent the Asian Football Confederation.
All these contradictory statements were made in less than two months, but an official in the federation did not end these strange statements and did not accept responsibility for such a catastrophe for the country’s club football. It is interesting that Kazem Oliaei explicitly announced on the 10th of Aban in the program Salam Sobh Bakhir: The club’s licensing committee is the sole governing body of the Football Federation. The committee is nominated by the president of the federation and accepted by the board and introduced to the AFC.In this interview, the parents explicitly state that if a club is eliminated, it is the responsibility of the professional licensing committee, but now that this tragedy has taken place, no one accepts its responsibility. (Watch the video of Kazemi Oliaee’s remarks below)
Sajjadi, who was very upset with the action of the Football Federation and the criticism of the members of parliament, said: “As a servant of sports and youth, I have a question whether the Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran is the representative of this country or the AFC?” The question for me is why such an action has been taken from within? The appeal was given a one-month opportunity and a three-month opportunity, and while we were preparing the documents and verifying, we were shocked because it was suddenly announced two weeks ago that you have 5 days to submit the documents again. No one has answered us yet. (See here)
The question is why the officials of the Football Federation did not give a clear answer about the elimination of Esteghlal and Persepolis clubs and the strange actions of the professional licensing committee, which even raised a question for the Minister of Sports? How much is the Football Federation to blame for selecting people who are not familiar enough with the rules? People who did not even realize that the AFC 3-month opportunity for Iranian clubs was related to the previous period, not this period!
The Football Federation seems to have played the biggest role in eliminating the two most popular clubs from the AFC Champions League, as the federation’s confidants played better AFC soldiers than Iranian soldiers.
