
“Saeed Nasrollahi,” the head of the Kermanshah Karate Board, told IRNA on Saturday: “Karate One is the largest sporting event in the history of Kermanshah province in terms of number of people and the largest and most prestigious event in the world of karate in terms of prestige that will be held.”
He said that the karate one competitions will continue until May 15 in Kermanshah, adding: the competitions will be held in four age categories: infants, teenagers, youth and hope, and in both men’s and women’s sections.
Nasrollahi announced the venue of the competition as Hazrat Imam Khomeini (RA) Sports Hall in Kermanshah and said: about 100 referees and 20 executive staff will be in charge of judging and planning the competition.
The head of the Kermanshah Karate Board reminded: Karate One competitions in the federation are designed in such a way that people who take positions and earn points, in addition to receiving a cash prize, are ranked and invited to the national team camp.
He pointed out: Considering that the competitions are held freely, each athlete will attend these competitions with his coach or family, and this issue causes Kermanshah to witness the presence of about seven thousand guests during this period, which is an issue. Economically and culturally, it can have good consequences for the province.
Nasrollahi continued: “For the first time in different periods of this competition, all athletes, coaches, executive staff, referees and even the families of these athletes have been provided with accommodation and food, and this issue will definitely be a good memory of Kermanshah in the minds of guests.” Registers.
The head of the Kermanshah Karate Board continued: In the previous period of the competition, which was hosted by Tehran, 70 karatekas from Kermanshah participated in the competition, but in this period, due to hosting more than 500 athletes from the province, will participate.
In the end, he announced the necessary arrangements for holding the best karate competitions in Kermanshah and said: watching the competitions for the public will be free by observing health protocols.
