The Nicaraguan Ambassador met with the Minister of Sports/ Sajjadi: We are ready to start polo and strength sports in Nicaragua.

According to Fars news agency, Isak Lenin Bravo, Nicaragua’s ambassador to Iran, met and talked with Seyed Hamid Sajjadi today at the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.
In this meeting, Isak Lenin Bravo, the ambassador of Nicaragua, expressed his happiness at the meeting with Sajjadi and said: 6 female ministers of Nicaragua will soon travel to Iran to participate in a meeting invited by the Iranian government. During this trip, the Nicaraguan ministers are supposed to have meetings with the ministers of Iran, and therefore we invite Dr. Sajjadi to meet with the relevant ministers.
He added: “Our government attaches great value to these visits because a quarter of the Nicaraguan government’s cabinet travels to Iran.” An invitation letter has been sent to the Vice President of Nicaragua, but due to the cruel US sanctions, he cannot travel to Iran, but 6 ministers are traveling to Iran. In this trip, we will have a very important opportunity to meet with the ministers of the Islamic Republic.
The Ambassador of Nicaragua in the Islamic Republic of Iran noted: I am grateful to the government of the Islamic Republic, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Sports and Youth, for providing the ground for this meeting.
Referring to the good relations between the two countries, he said: The revolutions of Iran and Nicaragua were achieved within one year, and we consider these two revolutions as united sisters, and these two countries have always had very good relations. Since Ayatollah Raisi was elected as the president, we have understood that now we can increase relations with Iran and the presidents of the two countries had three phone calls. Both of them believe that communication should not only be based on politics and that this interaction should be established in other areas as well.
He added: Nicaraguan people were following Iran’s games in the World Cup a lot and they wanted the Iranian national team to advance from the group. If there is an opportunity in the near future, we welcome the Iranian team to come to Nicaragua to play a friendly match. We should predict the time when Iran will be able to play some friendly games not only with Nicaragua but also with other countries in the region.
Referring to Iran’s power in the region, he noted: “It is very good and interesting that Iran’s influence has been very influential in history and Iran has been leading in many fields in history.”
Seyyed Hamid Sajjadi, Minister of Sports and Youth, also stated in this meeting: We are very happy to meet the Nicaraguan ambassador for the second time. The first meeting took place during a friendly match between the football teams of Iran and Nicaragua at the Azadi Stadium and we saw how much he knows the field of sports.
He added: We are also very interested in the country of Nicaragua and that we can have good interactions with this country in the field of sports, and we hope that the interactions between the two countries will be established more than before. In advance, I welcome the 6 Nicaraguan interior ministers who are going to visit Iran soon. We are ready to host possible meetings.
The Minister of Sports and Youth noted: We have good sports facilities in Iran, such as a shooting range, a wrestling hall, ice skiing and a horse riding track.
He continued: One of the provisions of our memorandum of understanding with Nicaragua in the field of sports could be that we can start lacrosse and varsity sports in this country.
