According to Tasnim news agency, the 16th stage of the final of the National Clubs Cup football tournament started this evening (Sunday) with 12 matches. On the first day of the Premier League teams’ presence in the FA Cup, there was no surprise, and these teams overcame their lower-class rivals.
Thus, Esteghlal, Sepahan, Foolad, Golgohar Sirjan, Zobahan, Arak Aluminum, Mazandaran Textile, Peykan, Masjed Soleiman Oil and Padideh Khorasan were the 10 teams that reached the final 16 teams of the National Cup. Of course, Nood Orumieh was not far from recording the first surprise of the tournament, when Esteghlal returned to the game and won. Fajr Sepasi has been the only Premier League team to say goodbye to the National Cup.
