According to IRNA; “Mohammad Mehdi Foroudin”, a representative of the people of Firoozabad, Farashband, Qir and Karzin in Fars province and the head of the Sports and Youth Faction of the Majles, met with Amir Seddiqi at the Wushu Federation.
He said that he always monitors the activities of sports federations, adding: “This year is an important year for the country’s sports due to the holding of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.” We know that wushu has always played a significant role in the medal basket of our country’s convoy in the Asian Games, so we try to have good support for this sport on the eve of these important competitions.
The head of the sports and youth faction of the parliament said: “Today, foreign countries and Iran’s sworn enemies are seeking to strike at the system of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the brilliance of dear Iranian men and women in the upcoming games can be a strong response to them.”
“We know that good things have happened in Wushu, and that the path that this federation has taken, whether in terms of public development or in terms of championship sports, is the right way,” he said. Wushu and Kurash, due to their brilliance in the championship dimension, need attention and support in order to maintain their position and improve it. The parliament considers it necessary to have this support for the medal-winning and successful field of wushu so that wushu can help the Iranian convoy win medals in the upcoming games.
Also, Amir Siddiqui, President of the Wushu Federation, while appreciating the constant support of the Revolutionary Assembly, especially the Sports and Youth Faction, called for maximum attention to be paid to the Wushu Federation.
In this meeting, Mohammad Mehdi Foroudin also talked to Saman Ahmadi and Mostafa Hassanzadeh, the nationalists of Taloo in Fars province, during which he heard the concerns of these two nationalists and made favorable promises in order to resolve them.
National team manager Majid Maleki and Mohammad Najafpour were also present at the meeting.
