According to the report of Mehr news agency and quoted from the public relations of the wrestling federation, in the end Hasan Yazdani and Alireza Karimi, representatives of 86 kg freestyle wrestling, the rush of spectators caused a disturbance in the holding of the matches. This was while the physical security of the Azadi complex, despite all the efforts it took, failed to establish order, and the security director of the Ministry of Sports must be held accountable for this disorder.
Failure to make decisions and make necessary arrangements to create order in the venue could have irreparable consequences. Without a doubt, Hassan Yazdani is considered the national capital of the country and one of Iran’s sports brands in the world, and Mr. Shahidi must be responsible for this lack of coordination.
This happened while the Honorable Head of Security of the Ministry of Sports gave an interview a while ago about why the pursuit of wrestling rights was pursued, and Mr. Shahidi should explain why this disorder occurred in a 12,000-seat hall.
Unfortunately, Pejman Darshkar, Amir Hossein Zare, Hasan Yazdani and Kamran Ghasempour suffered minor injuries when the spectators rushed to the competition mat, and it is necessary for the security of the Ministry of Sports and Youth to be responsible for these incidents.
We should know that wrestling, as the first sport in Iran, has a large popular base and as you can see, there were several thousands of interested spectators in the competition hall.
We hope that the country’s security agencies will carefully review the security management of the Ministry of Sports and Youth due to the events that happened in the country’s most important domestic wrestling competition this year, so that we will not witness such events that could lead to disaster.
