The reason for the cancellation of the friendly match between Iran and Iraq

According to Fars news agency, in an interview with one of the country’s media, the head of the Iraqi Federation announced the cancellation of the friendly match with Iran’s national football team.

In an interview with Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed, Adnan Darjal said: The Iraqi Federation did not reach an agreement with the Iranian Federation to hold a friendly match. We decided to cancel this match and agree with Russia to hold a friendly match.

According to Fars, before this, the officials of the federation had announced the holding of a friendly match with the Iraqi national team in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
