The referee’s explanation about the lack of famous coaching experience – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr reporter, quoted from the worldofvolley website, the volleyball federation is looking for a head coach these days to lead the men’s national volleyball team. The selection process has gained more momentum as the four-year term of Mohammadreza Davarzani’s presidency in the federation is approaching.

The Iranian Volleyball Federation has considered a list of prominent international figures such as “Vital Hein” from Belgium, “Gianlorenzo Bellangini” and “Roberto Piazza” from Italy, “Vladimir Alkno” from Russia, Peyman Akbari and the legendary Saeed Maarouf to lead the men’s national team.

The referee emphasized the importance of choosing a coach with considerable knowledge and experience in major tournaments, as well as the ability to formulate deep game plans and strategies. In his interview, the head of the Iran Volleyball Federation stated that the federation’s negotiations are aimed at selecting a person who is more in harmony with the needs of the Iranian team.

Despite the concerns about the lack of famous coaching experience, the referee noted: Coaching experience is not always a condition for success. He pointed out the exceptional qualities, influence and leadership of the famous man who could potentially become a successful coach.

Considering Iran’s poor chances to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics after the disappointing performances of the Iranian team in the 2023 FIVB Volleyball Nations League and the Olympic qualifiers, the selection of the head coach is very important for the Iranian Volleyball Federation.
