In an interview with IRNA on Monday, Pashaei stated: There are various reasons for my resignation. I have spent my whole life in Muay Thai and if I have any credit it is from this sport. My effort is to pave the way for this field.
He added: We are professional people in sports and we all know that nothing can be done under these conditions. Why should we deceive ourselves when the Secretary General of the International Muay Thai Federation has declared everything clearly several times.
Pashaei said: People’s children come to Muay Thai with a thousand wishes. When we form a national team and it cannot participate in any event, why should we stay? Under these circumstances, I decided not to be in the Muay Thai community anymore.
According to IRNA; Pashaei was the secretary of the technical council and the secretary of the national teams of the Muay Thai Association, who resigned from his position.
He announced his resignation from the positions of the secretary of the technical council as well as the secretary of the national teams of that association in a letter addressed to Farid Nakhdi, the head of the Muay Thai Association of the Federation of Martial Sports Associations, this Monday morning.
Mohammad Pashaei is a former national team player and one of the most experienced Muay Thai referees of Iran.
