A federation that has neither a supervisor nor a president!
The four-year term of refereeing in the volleyball federation ended yesterday and he is no longer present in the federation. An interesting point to note is that Vahid Moradi and Fariba Mohammadian, the first and second vice presidents of the federation, are retired and do not have the right to sign. The Ministry of Sports and Youth did not agree to hold an extraordinary assembly of the Volleyball Federation and did not appoint a supervisor for this federation. What will be the fate of the national team?
The national volleyball team did not get acceptable results from the beginning of this year; It was ranked 14th out of 16 teams in the League of Nations. In the Asian Championship hosted by Iran, the national team did not beat Japan and finished as the runner-up. It also achieved the weakest result in the Olympic qualifiers, so that it fell in the world ranking and placed in the 15th place. Obtaining poor results made the task of advancing to the Olympics to be delayed, and the League of Volleyball Nations was the team’s only chance to become an Olympian. be Iran Now, with the situation that the road to the Olympics has become difficult and the national team has to compete with the teams of Italy, Argentina, Slovenia and Serbia in the world ranking to win the Olympic quota, the volleyball federation is in the most indecisive state.
In addition to all these problems, the situation of the national team is undecided these days, and after Atai’s resignation, the federation has put the recruitment of foreign coaches on the agenda and has entered into negotiations with them. Currently, 4 foreign coaches and 2 Iranian coaches are among the options.
