According to a Tasnim sports reporter, the Iranian national football team returned to the country with a direct flight to Mashhad after yesterday’s (Thursday) defeat against South Korea in Seoul to prepare for Tuesday’s match against Lebanon.
Dragan Skucic’s students must be ready to face Lebanon in a situation where, apart from Alireza Jahanbakhsh, Saman Qudus and Mehdi Taremi, who are suffering from coronary heart disease, Khalilzadeh’s brave condition is now unclear.
Khalilzadeh, who had a problem in the 41st minute of the match against South Korea and was replaced by Aref Gholami, has to recover under the supervision of the medical staff and is not allowed to participate in group training at the moment.
Thus, his presence in the match against Lebanon is in a state of ambiguity until the medical staff examines Khalilzadeh’s condition and the player is allowed to play.
According to Tasnim, the match between Iran and Lebanon, which is the last match of the national team in the group stage of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, will be held on Tuesday at 16:00 in Imam Reza (AS) Stadium in the holy city of Mashhad.
