The rise of Iranian taekwondo players in the world ranking



According to IRNA; The official website of the World Taekwondo Federation announced the Olympic ranking of taekwondo athletes that our country’s taekwondo athletes improved their ranking by participating in the Asian Championship and the South Korean Open Tournament.

In the men’s group, Armin Hadipour, the representative of our country weighing -58 kg, dropped 4 places to the 16th place, Mehdi Haj Mousai, who recently won two silver medals in the Asian Championship and the South Korean Open Tournament, climbed 20 places to the 26th place. The best of this weight was placed.

In the weight of -68 kg, Soroush Ahmadi dropped to the 14th place. Amir Mohammad Bakhshi won the gold medal in the South Korean tournament and climbed eight places to rank 39.

Mirhashim Hosseini climbed 17 places in the 80-kg weight category and took the 25th place. Despite winning the bronze medal in the Asian Championship, Daniyal Gargi dropped 4 places to the 47th place.

Sajjad Mardani, a taekwondo player weighing 80+ kg, dropped to the 15th place, and Ali Ahmadi climbed 6 places to the 37th place.

In the women’s group, Ghazal Soltani stood at the 42nd place with a drop of seven places in the weight of -49 kg. Mobina Nematzadeh, with her brilliance in the Asian Championship and winning the silver medal, climbed 29 ranks and ranked 43rd.

In the weight of -57 kg, Nahid Kiani won the gold medal in the Asian Championship and rose 13 places to the 14th place. Zahra Shidai won the bronze medal of the Asian Championship and climbed 6 places to rank 36.

In the weight of -67 kg, Melika Mirhosseini, who has not participated in any tournament for some time due to injury, ranked 23rd and Kausar Asaseh is ranked 37th.

In the 67+ kg weight category, Akram Khodabandeh, the gold medalist of the Asian Championship, climbed 10 places to the 38th place, and Zahra Pourasmail climbed 10 places to the 42nd place.
