The ruling of the sports arbitration court on the suspension of Iranian judo was extended for two months


According to the Fars news agency and quoting the public relations of the Judo Federation, on the 2nd of Azar 1400, a hearing on the Iranian Judo case was held online in the Court of Arbitration for Sport. At that meeting, it was decided that in the next few days, the final decision will be made and finally the verdict of the Court of Arbitration for Sport will be issued. The announcement of the court’s decision has been extended.

In fact, this vote will be announced in the next two months. It should be noted that after the initial case, a permanent suspension for Iranian judo was determined with preconditions, the verdict was annulled by the Court of Arbitration for Sport and the case was referred to the disciplinary committee of the World Federation and then the disciplinary committee of the World Federation. The 9th of Ordibehesht of this year, the Judo Federation of Iran banned from participating in all international events for 4 years (from September 2019 to September 2023).

Immediately, the legal team of the Iranian Judo Federation filed another complaint in the Court of Arbitration for Sport against the decision of the Disciplinary Committee of the World Federation, and then both parties submitted a bill to the Court of Arbitration. In a letter sent on December 2, they announced the time of the hearing of Iran’s complaint in the form of a video conference.
