According to Khabarnar Mehr, today Amirreza Masoumi faced wrestlers from China in the 125 kg freestyle wrestling match of the Asian Championship. While Masoumi started the wrestling with strength and even got ahead of his opponent, but in the end, he lost in the first period with the result of 4:2 and a technical blow, so he didn’t even get the bronze medal!
This was the second shock to Iranian wrestling on the second day of the Asian Championship. Before this, Masoumi in the semi-final and while he had only two seconds to reach the final and was 6:3 ahead of Lekhaguagirl Munkhtur, the world silver and bronze medalist from Mongolia, faced a four-point fan from the opponent and the result was 8: 6 was defeated.
After taking a break in the first round, Amirreza Masoumi defeated Ziyamohamat Safaraf from Turkmenistan in the second round and in the quarter-finals with a score of 10-0 and made it to the semi-finals.
