According to the Mehr News Agency, citing the Volleyball Federation, the 2024 Paris Olympics selection volleyball competitions in the men’s group will be held from October 8 to 16, 1402, hosted by three countries, Brazil, China and Japan. After a 60-hour journey, the Iranian volleyball team held their first ball practice in the main tournament hall on Friday evening local time.
In this training, all the national players and members of the technical staff were present and this training lasted for one hour and 30 minutes.
In this exercise, the players first warmed up under the supervision of Yanas, and then, under the supervision of Behrooz Atai and his assistants, they reviewed technical and tactical tasks. During the training several times, Atai gave some tips to the players and asked them to train with high concentration.
Before the Iranian team, the Czech Republic national volleyball team practiced in this hall, and after the Iranian national team’s practice, the Germans also entered the hall to hold their practice.
While the Iranian volleyball team was practicing, the tournament organizers were busy preparing and finalizing the hall for the start of the Olympic selection competition.
On the sidelines of the training of the Iranian national volleyball team in Rio de Janeiro, Mustafa Farkhana said: “The national team had a long and difficult journey.” We have a big goal and all the players and members of the technical staff want to participate in the Olympics. Before the Olympics, we have to appear in the selection competitions and we have to finish our work successfully.
He continued: We have come to Brazil with a double spirit. We won the Asian Games and this will definitely help the Iranian team to perform well in the competition. We have difficult games, but we are determined and serious.
The director of the delegation of the national volleyball team to Brazil noted: To participate in the Olympics, we must use all our capabilities and improve the quality of our work and perform well. Iran’s experienced players and technical staff know this very well and will do their best to get the best result.
