In an interview with Mehr reporter in Ahvaz, Abdullah Karami said about the conditions of Khuzestan Steel Club: I don’t know if Khuzestan has become so poor that there is not even a football manager to appoint for the popular club Steel? The people of Khuzestan have suffered and are still involved in problems such as flooding and dust, but they do not have the right to suffer in football. Khuzestan is the cradle of football in the country.
He added: Now see what resume and performance of the CEO and board of directors of Foulad Club? Where is Khuzestan football going? My address is to those who make decisions for Khuzestan province, to see that everyone’s voice is heard and complain about the state of steel management.
The former captain of Khuzestan Football Club said: Why do they bring someone who does not have a specific football resume from Tehran to be the CEO of Football Club? Such a manager cannot be expected to succeed.
He said: I have been in the service of the Khuzestan Steel football team for several years, the Steel Club has never been like this in its history, but in the last two or three years, it has been one of the clubs whose performance and purchases speak volumes. When they bring a manager with no resume to Foulad, these things are not unlikely because there is no compassion in this group.
Kerami continued: Believe me, if he was the manager of Khuzestan, they would not have allowed him to stay this long; This team is closed very badly, and in the meantime, the CEO is definitely one of the culprits.
Khuzestan football veteran said: “Mr. Shabani, whatever you have done to Foulad is enough, please leave.” Where does my veteran voice go? Who listens to us and the people about Foulad Club? I request the governor and the officials of the province to enter into this issue.
He added: “If I say anything, it is out of sadness and pity, I don’t want to see Foulad in this situation.” What does Foulad lack from Sepahan? I have played in both teams and I will tell you that Foolad has more facilities than Sepahan, but compare the management of the two clubs and see how much we suffer from Foolad’s conditions.
Karmi said: “We saw and understood the era of managers like Saifullah Dehkordi in Foulad Club. Look at what Foulad was like at that time and what it has become now. Foulad fans in Khuzestan are mostly from the middle and weak sections of the society, and they have no right to be harassed like this.” And once again, as a veteran, I ask the governor of Khuzestan to enter into this matter.
