According to Tasnim news agency, Masjed-e-Soleiman oil players today (Sunday) refused to participate in the training session in protest of financial problems until their strike reaches the second day.
The Ministry of Oil recently transferred money to the account of the General Directorate of Sports and Youth of Khuzestan Province to help Masjed Soleiman Oil and Abadan Oil Industry, but with the decision of the management of this complex, the above amount was not paid to Khuzestan Oil Clubs.
The head of Masjed Soleyman Oil Club and the governor of this city have held consultations to solve this problem, which have not yielded any results so far.
The oilmen had previously threatened not to attend Thursday’s match against Arak Aluminum if financial problems persisted, and they reportedly booked their hotel in Arak for the match.
Arak Aluminum and Masjed Soleyman Oil teams will compete in the fifth week of the Premier League from 15:00 on Thursday.
