According to Mehr reporter, 150 domestic wrestlers and 30-40 foreign wrestlers from Iraq and Afghanistan are participating in Takhti Cup competitions.
These competitions are considered as the fourth stage of the selection cycle of the national team, and prominent wrestlers and world and Olympic title holders, including Hassan Yazdani, Amirhossein Zare, Reza Atari, Mohammad Nakhudi, Younis Emami and Mojtabi Gilij, and young and prominent wrestlers such as Amirhossein Firozpour, Amir Ali Azarpira, Amirreza Masoumi, Ahmad Mohammad Nejad Javan, Mohammad Mobeen Azimi, Soban Yari, Hossein Abu Zari, Mohammad Sadiq Firozpour, Ali Akbar Fazli, Ebrahim Elahi, Ali Qolizadegan and Ali Rahimi will face their opponents.
Based on the selection cycle of the national team, the silver and bronze medalists of the Serbian World Championships, the joint first to fifth placers, the national championships, the joint first to third placers, and the wrestlers selected by the technical staff who had a brilliant performance in the national youth championships, as well as the first placers in wrestling. Pahlavi are allowed to participate in these competitions.
According to Article 9 of the selection cycle, there is a possibility that the national team members of some weights will be determined in these competitions.
According to the announced schedule, the first five weight matches of this competition (weights 57-65-70-79-92 kg) from 10 am today (Thursday) and the second five weight matches of this competition (weights 61-74-86-97- 125 kg) will be held from 10 am on Friday, June 5, and the top winners of each weight will be determined at the end of the same day.
The distribution of medals for the first five weights (individual) will start from 15:30 until 19:30 and the opening of the competition will be from 17:30 to 18:00.
3 wrestlers from the province in weights of 74, 79 and 86 are in the national youth team and 3 referees from the province judge these matches.
