According to IRNA; The 25th edition of the Asian Taekwondo Championships was hosted by South Korea while the Iranian women’s team stood on the roof of the ancient continent for the first time with brilliant performance and aroused everyone’s admiration. This team is led by “Mino Madah”.
On the other hand, our country’s men’s team finished in fifth place to stay on the podium after 20 years.
In total, the final ranking of men and women of our national team won the third title with 3 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals. South Korea won 5 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals, followed by Uzbekistan with 4 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.
At the end of the competition, the organizing committee announced the winners, with Akram Khodabandeh selected as the best player and Nahid Kiani as the most technical player in the women’s section.
As expected, the teams that finished first to third in the men’s and women’s divisions also won the Coach of the Year award.
While most countries have a common head coach in both the men’s and women’s divisions, the Iranian team, along with several other countries, have separate men’s and women’s coaches.
In this regard, the officials of the organizing committee asked “Hadi Saei”, the president of the Iranian Federation, to introduce the name of the head coach of the Iranian team to receive the award for the best coach, because our national team came third in the men’s and women’s divisions.
While everyone was expecting “Mino Madah” to be introduced by Saei for receiving the award of the best coach due to the extraordinary performance of his team, but the president of our federation introduces “Bijan Moghanloo”. While the men’s team, led by Moghanloo, did not have a defensible performance.
This annoys the admirer as he leaves the hall. Accordingly, the head coach of the Iranian women’s team, while his team has important events ahead, has decided not to cooperate with the women’s team anymore.
