According to Mehr reporter, the 2022 Freestyle Wrestling World Cup will be hosted by the United States on December 19 and 20. Meanwhile, the American Wrestling Federation officially invited the Iranian wrestling team to participate in the 2022 World Championships in Serbia.
Based on this, the composition of our country’s national freestyle wrestling team to participate in the World Cup was determined and announced by the technical staff, and not long ago, our country’s national team went to the American Embassy in Dubai to receive visas.
In this regard, Mohammad Ebrahim Emami, the spokesperson of the wrestling federation, while explaining the latest situation of the sending of freestyle wrestlers to the American World Cup, told Mehr reporter: The administrative process and the submission of the necessary documents for the issuance of visas for the dispatched freestyle wrestlers have been completed in the past few days, and so far there have been no problems from the embassy. We have not been informed about any defect or problem in issuing visas for any of the members of the national team.
He added: Considering these conditions, we can hope that visas will be issued for all members of the national freestyle wrestling team to be sent to the American World Cup, and our children will be able to compete in these battles. Of course, we cannot speak with certainty until the news of the issuance of children’s visas has been officially announced by the host country.
Emami continued: Our country’s freestyle wrestling team is in the same group as Japan and the world’s selected teams in the World Cup.
