According to IRNA, the first day competitions were held in four weights, -60, -66, -73 and -81 kg, and the medalists of the four weights were identified and awarded cash prizes.
In the 60-kg weight category, Pouria Khair Elahi (Fars) and Mehdi Ghargash (North Khorasan) came first and second, while Hossein Bakhshi (Khorasan Razavi) and Mehdi Khodiri Mohammadi (Bushehr) shared third place.
In the 66-kg weight category, Abolfazl Mahmoudi (Markazi) and Hassan Alkaei Mohammad (Markazi) won first and second place, as well as Hamidreza Papi (Isfahan) and Amir Hossein Valizadeh (Bushehr) shared third place.
In the 73-kg weight category, Mohammad Reza Sedighi (Alborz) and Vahid Jedi (Khorasan Razavi) came first and second, and Alireza Khojasteh (Alborz) and Reza Parsapour (North Khorasan) shared third place.
In the 81-kg weight category, Mehdi Fattahipour (Fars) and Amir Hossein Talebi (Isfahan) took first and second place, and Younes Saremi (Lorestan) and Javad Sokhandan (East Azerbaijan) shared third place.
There are 300 judokas in the competition, and 30 judges will judge the event. The competitions will be held in the multi-purpose hall of the Water and Electricity Organization and on 2 tatami mats.
In these competitions, which will be held on the 20th and 21st, the first individuals will be paid 100 million Rials, the second individuals 50 million Rials and the joint third persons 20 million Rials each.
