
According to IRNA; The twelfth round of the World Age Group Karate Championships ended today Sunday with the classification and finals of various divisions.
The Iranian team had two representatives in the ranking and the final, first, “Atusa Golshadenjad” in the women’s minus 61 kg weight category and in the age group “Omid” against “Jennifer Hilary” from France with a score of three to zero and failed to reach the medal.
Then, “Alireza Heydari” went against “Omar Faruk” from the host country, who benefited from the support of the audience, in the final of the weight minus 75 kg of the boys’ promising age category, and won the gold medal by presenting a smart fight.
To reach the finals, after taking a break in the first round, Heydari won against opponents from Armenia, Spain, Slovakia and Jordan.
Having said that, Iran’s caravan ended its work with Heidari’s single gold medal in the total age categories of teenagers, youth and Omid boys and girls, so that an unexpected result was recorded in Iran’s karate record.
